1) There is only one source for true authority.True authority is linked to the Omnipotence of God. Only an all-powerful God can truly dictate Sovereignty over His creation. He has the power to command and the power to enforce, to reward and to punish. Jesus said not to fear him who can kill the body (and Satan does have some power and authority), but fear him who can kill the body and throw the real you into hell.

Thanks for the insight. It brings light into the dark!
Father God extends his authority through His Son Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit of God. It is explained through His revelation…the Bible. We as Christians exercise HIs Glory through worship of God. Romans 12 says it best: Present your lives as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God (short version). I appreciated that you mentioned preventing abortion in your remarks. It seems as though people are more concerned with saving animals and other things, than they are saving a baby’s life. And I know that you said Ron Paul would not interfere with government control over to abort or not; but this topic should be discussed more.
The term “canon” from a guide to ‘reed or measuring stick’ The concept of “canonicity” The standard that books go through for inclusion in the Bible. ……Not a human interpretation; nor does the church have that authority; but the word has authority. Human recognition that it is the word of God. Authority authenticated by message given or power that it has to change lives. I simply accept it.
(Some key Scripture passages – Deuteronomy 31:24–26; Matthew 5:18; John 10:35; 1 Timothy 5:17–18; 2 Peter 3:15–16; Revelation 22:6–8, 18–19)
The claim of divine authority
1. Moses (Exodus 24:3) This message claims to be the word of God. “Everything the Lord has said, we will do.” We recognize God’s word. As soon as God speaks, it is considered authoritative. Ex. 24:7; 2 Kings 23:3; Ne 8:9-Recognition of Divine Authority.
2. David (2 Samuel 23:1–2)
3. The Old Testament prophets (“thus says the Lord” – more than 350 times)
The recording of authoritative Scripture.
1. The Old Testament Law – in connection with Moses (Exodus 25:16, 21; Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:35; 10:2-5; 31:24–26) He gave a command to take the book of the law and put it in the ark to keep.
2. The Old Testament Law – after Moses (Joshua 8:35; 24:26; 1 Samuel 10:25; 1 Kings 8:9)
